Socialy Integrated Innovation
We aim to: promote collaborative efforts of combining knowledge, expertise, and methodologies from different disciplines to address complex social challenges and create impactful and novel solutions.
Enhancing MLTC management for HIV populations through Implementation research, evidence-based interventions, and integration of NCD care in LMIC contexts with a focus on Viability and Equity.
HIVE adopts an Implementation Research Framework to support integrated care and management of HIV and concomitant NCDs leveraging an mHealth application tailored for the (self-)management of multiple long-term conditions for PLWH. This initiative also incorporates interpersonal counselling (IPC) for vital psychosocial support and integration of NCDs care into HIV clinics. The mHealth application will build on an existing digital health tool developed by HIVE partner, Columbia University, which has already been piloted in several low- and middle-income countries . HIVE aims to extend and customize the application for diverse high-income countries (HICs) and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), including Kenya, Kazakhstan, Greece and Malta, addressing the unique needs of PLWH in different disease settings and cultural contexts. The goal is to mitigate the disparities in access to health for PLWH in different countries as well as the inequalities that are being faced among different population groups within each participating country./ SINOPSIS leads the social impact assessment, deploying a Social Network Analysis within the Clincal Trials.

Green Resilience through Economic Empowerment, Environmental Knowledge, and Future-Proof Digital Infrastructure
GreenFit is a collaborative project uniting research institutions, technology developers, agricultural practitioners, and field actors to tackle the barriers limiting farmers from adopting climate-smart practices. Through a combination of advanced technologies such as AI-powered decision support systems, IoT sensors, and XR-based training tools, GreenFit focuses on optimizing resource use, enhancing decision-making, and building resilience to climate change. The project also promotes value-chain partnerships and strengthens digital infrastructure, ensuring scalability and sustainability. Through the use of real-time tools, including the LLM-based AgriChatbot and a drone-in-a-box system for soil analysis and crop health monitoring, GreenFit empowers farmers with the practical, innovative solutions needed to transition toward sustainable practices. GreenFit focuses on capacity building and community-driven dissemination, communication, and exploitation, as through hands-on training, workshops, and stakeholder engagement, it empowers local communities to adopt and sustain climate-smart practices. The project’s capacity-building program and knowledge-sharing platforms ensure that farmers and rural stakeholders are actively involved in the development process. GreenFit’s community-led approach enhances local ownership of solutions, driving sustained environmental and economic benefits. Agricultural Ground-bReaking sOlutions based on roBotics and augmented reality for boOsting sOcial sustainability and competitivenesS while increasing the safeTy of workers
AGROBOOST is a pilot driven, 5-year multi-disciplinary project that aims to transform the agricultural sector into a more attractive, sustainable and efficient industry by harnessing the power of advanced agro-robotics, augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), automation and digitalisation revealing the societal and economic benefits for all the people working in agriculture, especially women, young professionals and farmers with moving disabilities. Through the development of cutting-edge, ground-breaking solutions, the project will improve the safety and appeal of agricultural work, reduce environmental impacts, enhance productivity and address labour shortages. AGROBOOST will also emphasize on the development of flexible business models, concrete system analysis tools and training curricula to ensure the widespread adoption and the rapid uptake of these technology innovations. Six distinct and diverse pilot validation campaigns will be demonstrated in 6 countries across Europe (Portugal, Ireland, Greece, England, Belgium and Switzerland), covering multiple agricultural practices and sectors including (1) tree pruning and flower thinning, (2) mushroom selective harvesting, (3) automated weeding, (4) strawberries gentle picking, (5) animal husbandry and livestock farm management and (6) crop monitoring in steep slope viticulture. Financial support to third parties for testing and validation of technology offerings as part of the project’s funding and implementation strategy will be awarded through an Open Call, enabling a dynamic response to a changing policy and technology landscape. Through the engagement of a diverse range of stakeholders e.g. farmers (young and women), farm workers, advisors, technology providers and scientists in decision-making processes and the incorporation of social sciences perspectives, AGROBOOST will create a more inclusive and forward-looking agricultural landscape, securing a promising and sustainable future for farming. SINOPSIS leads the strategies for adoption of digital and robotic technologies in agriculture.

Accurate Reliable Portable and Rapid Methods And Technologies for DetectIon of GHB Substances and Prevention Against Different Forms of VioLence and AssauLt SuppOrted by These Drugs
ARMADILLO aims to equip Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) and more particularly, Police Authorities and Forensic Institutes, with a holistic, ground-breaking, easy-to-use, portable toolset that rapidly detects GHB concentrations in urine, saliva and beverages. The project will prioritize the enhanced collection and sharing of forensic evidence, emphasizing on forensics’ data management and ensuring interoperability and harmonization across systems. By integrating data fusion mechanisms, it will provide reliable, safe, and court-proof forensic evidence, while also leveraging the potential of AI for refined Raman analysis. Concurrently, it will undertake a comprehensive risk assessment to bolster prevention strategies against drug-facilitated violence and assault, all while standardizing user interfaces and employing advanced visualization and reporting techniques. SINOPSIS will lead the social impact estimation, the risk assessment framework for improved prevention of drug-facilitated sexual assaults and the sample collection methods integrating gender aspects.

Demonstrating trAnsformative solUtions to empower climate Resilience tOwards impRoved public health stAtus in the EU Boreal Region
The AURORA project aims to enhance resilience against health risks stemming from climate change and contribute to the overarching Mission objectives. It seeks to achieve this by developing a suite of tools capable of:1) Monitoring climate stressors, 2) Creating climate and epidemiological models 3) Generating forecasts via simulated scenarios 4) Identifying climate change risks and vulnerabilities in the Boreal region. These risks will be complemented by a reliable AI-driven technology that will 5) Issue early warnings and recommend adaptive measures and nature-based solutions. These components will form a robust Decision Support system providing specific recommendations. The AURORA consortium, with its vast experience in research projects, envisions active engagement with stakeholders throughout all project stages via Living Mission Labs. This engagement aims to foster behavioral change and showcase the project’s solutions in 5 Demo cities (Riga, Talinn, Vilnius, Tampere, Pori ) and 3 replicant cities (Klaipeda, Joniskis, Jurmala). SINOPSIS will lead the socioeconomic impact assessment of the proposal by evaluating the implementation results in the areas under consideratio
